1) Open Notepad From Start Menu. Start>>All program.>> Accessorize>> Notepad.

Why Storage devices have less space then that they promised?

We all purchase pen drive, hard disk, Etc. But do you seen that the storage.But it happened to us. When buy the dealer or company promise to be exact space but after checking it resulted less, usually got angry for the company for false marketing thinking and the shop from where we brought. But they are not responsible for any mistake whether they are company or dealer. But have you ever thought that how do they again and again in huge amount without getting into illegal promise trouble?

The answer is that they are not marketing illegally. I’ll tell you how this confusing have done. A manufacturer or company of producing goods considers 1 Mb to be 1000 kb and we all also thinks that & 1 Gb to be 1000 Mb, 1 Tb to be 1000 Gb. But as per the computer 1mb = 1024kb, 1 GB = 1024Mb, 1Tb=1024 GB .This difference in the method of computation is responsible for this "missing space."

I don’t know why this all happened. But it’s not mistake & not illegal. Let me explain with a example.

Let us take an example of a 16 GB pen drive disk. 

*From a manufacturer’s and company point of view, the 10 GB will have 10*1000*1000*1000 = 16000000000 bytes.

*But from a computer’s point of view, 10GB is actually 10*1024*1024*1024 = 17179869184 bytes.

So, a pen drive that promises to have 16 GB storage space will actually display 14.9012 GB.

So next time be aware for storage device that are purchasing. ;-)

6 Easy Ways To Speedup Windows Startup

Windows booting is a common in windows , but some of the people have problem with the booting some takes 3 min or someone takes 5-6 min. Windows booting is depend on system if your system have a good performance then the boot also have good. A study show Windows vista that very much time to open window second place windows xp then windows 7 & then windows 8.So Choosing windows 7 & 8 help in startup the window smoothly and fast.

So have I have come up with how to decrease the windows booting time.

1).Maintain Your Bios

Maintaining the bios is not very difficult its basically to arrange the device that gone be start with pc so check and remove the device that u not use like Floppy drive, etc  .It basically means to boot setup from these device but like other floppies are not use any more for installing windows.

When your pc stats it shows the detail of bios menu it basically f2, f10, f12, by pressing these keys you opened with your bios menu.

2).Clean Up the Startup Programs

One of the most effective way is to clean the startup programs that starts with your window.

To do this open run the type ”msconfig ” then press enter and you have opened with system configuration box , in that go to startup tab and uncheck those programs that you don’t want to run at startup of windows ,It naturally increase the speed of widows booting.

3).Change the boot menu time out value

If are using two or more windows then it definitely have the timeout .It basically means how much the menu of windows boot manager delay. So changing the timeout value boast the boot time of windows. To do thin open Msconfig from the run and go to   Boot tab and change timeout value to 10 or 20 it basically your choice. Changing the value speed the startup speed of windows.

4) Disable Unused Hardware

Disabling unused hardware speed the boot time a lot. It’s basically disable the device that take time to start up the windows mean its windows slow the startup in loading these drives .The lesser the driver be the lesser time take to startup. To do this GO to device manager for control panel and see which device you don’t want then press right mouse button and select disable those device that you don’t want. Then restart your pc and u see a much difference in speed.

5). Disable Windows Startup Sound

Window takes time to load the sound in startup .Disabling the startup sound increase the speed of startup. To do this go to sound from control panel and then go to Sounds tab ,Scroll down and disable startup windows sound & logon sound. You can also change and window sound from there.

6).Upgrade your ram

If you have old pc then you must need to upgrade your ram .If u have windows xp then 1gb is good, windows vista 1.5gb or 2gb ,windows 7  2-4 gb & for windows 8 also 2-4 gb .
